Physical Tweets

I’d seen this idea at the Science Museum and was interested to build something similar myself. It definitely brings a new dimension when listening in to particular trends, and as a PR stunt it works well attracting users to tweet certain material and see their tweet printed out and pinned up on our tweet cork board!

I programmed a Raspberry Pi to be able to print via a receipt printer (not as easy as it sounds), then set up a Python script to listen in to Twitter to specific search terms or hashtags and print out anything relevant.
